CONTROL & FUNCTIONS
- BPF(LPF): Low pass filter-only (50Hz-4KHz)
- BPF(HPF): High pass filter-only (50Hz-4KHz)
15. Crossover: Adjust the crossover for your chosen installation method.(Only CD80.5LX)
- LPF: Low pass filter-only (50Hz-4KHz) / Sub Channel(40Hz - 120Hz)
- FULL: No filtering for speakers. Use with full-range speakers.
- HPF: High pass filter (50Hz-4KHz)
- BPF: Band pass filter
16. Power Indicator LED: This Blue LED will illuminate when the amplifier is turned "ON
Protection Indicator LED: This LED turns on if excessive current is detected in the
output stages.
This can be caused by any of the following:
- Any speaker cable shorted to the vehicles chassis (ground).
- Any pair of speaker cables shorted together (zero impedance).
- Shorted speaker voice coil(zero impedance).
- Combined speaker impedance is too low.
- Turns on due to excessive heat sink temperatures.
17. B- Terminal (Chassis ground): To avoid unwanted ignition noise caused by ground loops,
it is essential that the amplifier be grounded to a clean, bare metal surface of the
vehicles chassis.
18. B+ Terminal (Battery positive) : Due to the power requirements of the Amplifier, this
connection should be made directly to the positive (+)terminal of the battery.
For safety measure, install an in-line fuse Holder (not included) as close to the battery
positive (+) terminal as possible with an ampere rating not to exceed total value of
fuses on the amplifier.
19. Remote Turn-On Input : To remote turn-on wire of head unit. The amplifier is turned
"ON" remotely when the vehicle's head unit is turned "ON".
20. Speaker Terminals
13. Input-selector switch : The sub outputs signal is a sum of the Ch1+2(Front) and
ch3+4(Rear) outputs. All three inputs will accept signal for use with a head unit with
three preamp outputs.
- When set to "1+2Ch" position, the front Inputs (Ch1+2) will provide signal for the
entire Amplifier.
- When set to "1+2Ch, 3+4Ch" position, both the front and rear inputs will accept
signal allowing the use of head unit fader.
- When set to "1+2Ch, 3+4Ch, SUB" all three inputs wil accept signal seperately for
use with a headunit with thre preamp outputs.
14. Band-Pass Filter(Only CD80.5LX)
To match the characteristics of the installed speaker
system, you can adjust the unwanted high and low
frequency sinals entering the speaker systems. By
setting the Band-pass control to select the cut-off
frequency (see the diagram), the speaker willoutput
only bandwitdth signals so you can get a clearer
sound image.
