C65 Trident Classic

C65 Trident Classic Vintage Edition

In the 1960s and ’70s, the cool guys wore

black polo-neck jumpers, drove sports cars

(or at least Ford Capris) and charmed women

with a twitch of their eyebrows. Meanwhile,

the ladies had hair like Jane Fonda and

were embracing the new-found freedoms

that feminism was oering. It was a time of

change and this stunning new watch harks

back to that incredible era.

Old style, new watch

The retro credentials of this C65 are immediate, even

on rst glance. The brushed and polished stainless

steel case is 38mm wide, a size that recalls watches

of the 1960s and ’70s.

We’ve used SuperLuminova ‘Old Radium’ luminescent

paint on the dial and hands to increase the vintage

look, while the ‘glass box’ sapphire crystal also nods

to the past.

However, while it is a retro watch, the Trident

motif on the seconds hand tells you it’s also a

Christopher Ward. And that’s really all you need

to know.

How to operate your Trident Classic

For a superior water resistance your crown is

of the screw-in type. The crown should sit

ush to the case (position

) in order to maintain

water resistance.

• First unscrew the crown anti-clockwise from the

case to position

for winding in power. Wind in

a clockwise direction to re-power the watch.

Your C65 Trident Classic has a maximum power

reserve of 38 hours when fully wound. Normal

wearing will allow the rotor to start re-powering

the watch over time after putting it on your wrist.

• Pull gently into position

. For rapid date

correction, turn in a clockwise direction.

• Pull gently into position

. This position is used

for handsetting and stopping of the second hand.

For precise time setting it is recommended to

pass beyond the desired minute and to set the

hand backwards.

PLEASE NOTE: Date correction should not be

carried out between 20.00 hr and 02.00 hr

as the watch gearing will already be aligning

itself to change the date. The crown should

always be pushed in after adjustment, and

it is best to do so from position 3 to avoid

advancing beyond the desired date.

You must always ensure the crown is fully

tightened before any use in water.

only use the nest metals in the construction

of our bracelets, all of which are precision

engineered for durability, eciency and comfort.
