Introduction
The user manual will guide you through the operations of the DVB-S MPEG2 SD Set Top Box Model CSR-201SP.
This product is a high-performance & cost-effective DVB-S satellite receiver. It provides users access to Free-to-air (FTA)
television channels & radio services.
Main Features:

Safety Precautions
WARNING:
➢Do not use this STB where contact with or immersion in water is possible. Do not use near flower vase, washbowls,
kitchen sinks, laundry tubs, swimming pools, etc.
➢Do not put the candle or lamp stand on the cabinet; otherwise, there is a danger of fire.
➢The unit should be connected to a power supply only of the type described in the operating instructions or as marked
on the unit. If you are not sure of the type of power supply (for example, 120 or 230 V) in your home, consult your
local dealer or local power company.
➢This product contains sensitive electronic components, do not open cabinet and touch the insides. Consult your local
dealer for technical service if opening of the STB is somehow required.
➢Unit Cleaning: After the unit power is turned off, you can clean the cabinet, panel and remote control with a soft cloth
lightly moistened with a mild detergent solution.
➢Attachments: Never add any attachments and/or equipment without the manufacturer’s consent; such additions may
result in the risk of fire, electric shock, or other personal injury.
➢Location: Slots and openings in the cabinet are provided for ventilation to protect the STB from overheating. Do not
block these openings or allow them to be blocked by placing the STB on a bed, sofa, or other similar surface, nor
should it be placed over a radiator or heat register.
➢Power-Cord Protection: Place the power-supply cord out of the way, where it will not be walked upon. Please pay
special attention to cords at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the unit.
➢Object and Liquid Entry: Never put objects of any kind into this STB through openings, as it may touch dangerous
points or short-circuit parts that could result in electric shock. Never spill any liquid in the STB.
➢Parts Replacement: When the STB needs to be repaired, the user should make sure that this STB is serviced by the
manufacturer or authorized service center. Use only the manufacturer-specified spares to avoid electric shock or any
other hazards.
➢Safety Check: After all the maintenance and repairs are done, user should request the service technician to conduct
the overall safety check to ensure that the machine is in the proper condition.

Installation Diagram:

Basic Operation
1. Turn on STB
▪Make the connection as given in connection diagram.
▪Turn on the STB by switching on the adaptor mains power supply.
2. Standby
▪Press Standby key on RCU for the STB to enter in to the Standby state.
▪In Standby state, press Standby key on RCU again to recall the last channel.
▪User can also disconnect the device’s main power to end the Standby state.
3. Channel Up/Channel Down
▪Press CH+/CH- on RCU to change channel.
4. Volume Up/Volume Down -
▪Press VOL+/VOL- to adjust volume.
5. Number
▪Use 0 ~ 9 number key and press [OK] on the RCU to change channel.
6. Mute
▪Press MUTE key on RCU to mute the sound.
▪Press MUTE key on RCU again to restore sound.
7. Audio
▪Press AUDIO key on RCU to open the “Audio Setting” window on the screen.
8. TV/Radio
▪In TV mode, press TV/RADIO key on RCU can switch to Radio mode.
▪In Radio mode, press TV/RADIO key on RCU to switch to TV mode.
9. Channel List
▪Press the OK key on RCU while the program is playing in full screen to open channel list.
10. Recall
▪Press RECALL key on RCU to switch to the last viewed channel.

11. FAV
▪Press FAV key on RCU to open the Fav Channel Group (Genre) List.
▪Press FAV button two times, to select various Favourite genres like Entertainment, News etc, which you set
as Favourite.
▪Use Left/Right keys on RCU to select the required Favourite group.
12. Menu
▪Press MENU key on RCU to open the menu
▪Press MENU key again to either exit the current menu to last menu or close the window.
13. OK
▪Press [OK] key to open the channel list.
▪Use UP/DOWN keys to move highlight to select channel and press OK key to view the selected channel.
▪Use Left/Right keys for changing channel list page and select required channel using Up/Down keys and
press OK to play the highlighted channel.
14. EXIT
▪Press [EXIT] key to exit the current menu to last menu or close the window.

▪Information key.

Troubleshooting
Problem
Possible Reasons
What to do
No power
Power adaptor not switched on.
Ensure mains power is present in mains socket and
adaptor is connected properly.
No video
STB is in standby mode.
Ensure the STB is powered on.
No signal
RF Cable is not connected
properly. Or improper STB
settings.
Ensure RF Cable is connected properly.
Verify all the STB setting parameters.
No audio
STB / TV could be in mute
mode.
RCA cable could be loose or not
connected properly.
See that STB / TV are not in mute mode.
Connect RCA cable properly without any
loose connections.
Only audio No video on

RCA cable could be loose

STB is in a Radio channel

Set the STB to TV mode.
Remote control
unit (RCU) is
not working.
Batteries are exhausted.
RCU is not properly pointed
towards the STB.
Replace old batteries in RCU. Properly point the RCU
to the STB.

Installation
Once you have installed and connected the AV cable of the set top box with TV. Power on TV and set top box.
Press menu key on the RCU to display the Main Menu. This menu consists of 4 menu options as shown below
A. Channel
B. Satellite
C. System
D. Tools
1. Use the Left / Right key on RCU to move cursor to select the above-mentioned categories in main menu.
2. Then you can use up or down keys on RCU to select various sub-categories in the menu.
3. Use the OK key to confirm a selection and do the necessary action as mentioned in the installation manual.
4. To escape the menu system at any time, press EXIT key on the RCU or Menu button to go back to previous
menu screen.
A. Channel
Your set top box has been tuned to receive all the MPEG 2 SD DD Freedish channels.
Press Menu key on RCU to enter into the menu
mode and use left/right keys to toggle through
Channel menu:
A1. TV Channel
A2. Radio Channel
A3. Add Channel
In this Channel menu mode, you can manage
your TV/Radio channels, where you can delete,
move, set as favourite, sort, lock the channels as
per your convenience or requirement.

A1. TV Channel
1. Use up/down keys and go to TV Channel
and press OK button on RCU to view TV
Channel screen on the TV, here you can see
list of TV channels, which are tuned in the
Set Top Box.
2. Now, you can delete, move, set as
favourite, sort, lock the channels as per
your convenience or requirement by
following below steps.
A1a. Delete Channel:
1. In the TV Channel edition screen, use
up/down key on RCU to toggle through the
channel, which you want to delete and
press numeric key "1" on the RCU.
2. The screen will pop-up to enter password.
The default password is 0000. Enter this
default password to proceed the deletion
of the channels.
3. The channel will be marked with the
symbol “X" in red color.
4. In case, you want to delete more channels,
use up/down keys and go to the channel
that you want to delete and press “1” on
RCU to mark with symbol “X” for the
selected channels.
5. To confirm the deletion press EXIT on RCU
and you will see a confirmation message
saying –Are you sure to save?
6. Select either OK and press “OK” key on RCU
to delete the selected channels or go to
Cancel and press OK on RCU to exit without deletion of the channels.
