Frying guide
As food differ in type, size, amount/weight, shape, etc., it’s hard to guarantee the best settings. The table
below is provided for reference only. Adjust frying temperature and time as necessary to suit your taste.
Food type Factory default settings Shake halfway?
Temp (°C) Time (Min.)
Cake 160°C 30 minutes No
French fries 200°C 20 minutes Yes
Fish 170°C 20 minutes No
Drumsticks 200°C 20 minutes Yes
Meat 200°C 15 minutes No
Steak 180°C 10 minutes No
Chicken wings 200°C 13 minutes Yes
Dry Fruits 40°C 4 hours Yes
• If the appliance is cold, a preheating of 3-5 minutes is recommended.
• Unless food is pre-packaged and pre-oiled, for browned and crispy results, all foods should be lightly
oiled before air frying.
• Olive oil spray or vegetable oil works well for air frying.
• Normally smaller food pieces require shorter time than bigger ones and vice versa.
• Always pat food dry before cooking to encourage browning and avoid excess smoke.
• To avoid excess smoke, when cooking naturally high fat foods, such as chicken wings or sausages, it
may be necessary to empty fat from the cooking pan between frying batches.
• Air fry small batches of freshly breaded foods. Press breading onto food to help it adhere.
• Shaking smaller ingredients halfway through the process optimizes the end result and can help
prevent unevenly fried ingredients.
• A baking tin or oven dish can be used in the frying basket when to bake a cake, quiche, fragile or
filled ingredients.

Cleaning the cooking pan and basket
• For a thorough cleaning, separate the basket from the cooking pan first.
