Registering your Device
Initially Locate your Device Identification Number (DIN)
You can find your DIN as your ‘Serial Number’ Located on the front of your carbonTRACK unit.
Figure 1 shows the DIN of this particular unit as 354920011111111.

Go to http://my.carbontrac .co.za/
Insert your Device Identification Number (DIN) from the carbonTRACK unit and clic register!

If this is your first carbonTRACK device, you won’t currently have a registered account. Proceed by
clic ing the lin ‘Clic here’ after ‘Don’t have an account?’
NOTE If you already have an account, proceed by adding your account details and clic ‘Register’.

You must enter the required account details including:
•First Name
•Last Name
•Email
•Daytime Contact (Number)
•Country
NOTE Account details are necessary to contact or locate the user in the event of device malfunction
or irregular usage patterns.

Your First Login
After the redirect page has displayed, the website will return you to the homepage. Please
chec your email for account registration details.
Next you are required to insert your DIN once again on the login screen. Once accepted, the
login window will appear requesting your login details.
NOTE Your registration email will carry details of a randomly generated password. We
advise that you change your randomly generated password to something more secure and
memorable.
Use your email address as the login; copy and paste the given password and clic ‘Register
Your Device’.
Congratulations, a device has been registered under your account name!
Simply login and start using your carbonTRACK unit.
NOTE The website has built-in safety feature, where if the interface is idle for 15 minutes,
you will be logged out and will need to log in again.

Dashboard Explained
A Navigation Bar Main navigation between the: Dashboard, Control Panel, Reports and
Account Settings.
B Account Name and Unique Account Number As any user may have more than one
account, when tal ing to our carbonTRACK team, this unique DIN specifies you as a user
rather than having to handle multiple accounts for multiple devices.
C Your Registered Devices This panel allows the user to select between devices so they
can monitor and control them individually. The carbonTRACK devices are identified by their
DIN located on the front of each unit.
D ID DIN of the currently selected unit.
E Last Updated Each carbonTRACK unit does periodic updates, typically every five minutes.
This timestamp shows the last time the server received a connection to the device.
F Total Power Generation and Usage is a running total of the generated and used power
since the device’s initial activation.
G Today’s Power Generation and Usage is reset every night to create a total amount of
energy used and generated each day.
H Plot of Power Usage Variations Throughout a 24-hour period. By moving your mouse
cursor across the graph, the value at that point is revealed.
I Plot of Temperature Variations Throughout a 24-hour period. By moving your mouse
cursor across the graph, the value at that point is revealed.
J Logout. Terminates your current session.
K Add a Device Now. You may have more than one device or allowed to control more than
one device. This button allows you to add devices.
L Manager This Device. Allows you to manage your geyser and pool pump.
M Two Temperature Readings. Showing the current Tan and Ambient temperature of
your device.
