CN-800Basic operations
Basic operations
Switching battery state
Switch ON the battery ON/OFF switch on the rear side of the unit. After start-
ing engine, your device will start up automatically or push the power button
to start the device.
Power ON/OFF
To turn ON the CN-800 push the power button on the top side. The first time
you turn on your CN-800, it may take up to 5 seconds to start. To power OFF
the device, push the power button 2 seconds.
If you stop your car engine, CN-800 will detect that there is no power con-
nection and you will get a message for keep using or turning off the device.
If you don‘t choose any option, the device will shutdown automatically after
30 seconds to protect the battery from running out.
Locating your current position
Your CN-800 must be outside to locate your current position. The first time you
start the device, it can take up to 3 minutes to find your current position. If it
takes longer than 3 minutes, make sure that you are in an open place with-
out tall buildings or trees around you.
In the future, your position will be found much faster, normally within a few
seconds.
Once CN-800 has located your current position, the driving view is shown in
full colour and shows your position on the map.
NOTE:
Some vehicles have a heat reflective shield embedded in the windshield that
may prevent the device from locating your current position. If this is a prob-
lem in your vehicle, use an external GPS antenna.
