Adjusting the brakes
The brake should be adjusted if the brake force applied to the wheel is insuffi cient (this can occur
if the tyres are worn) or the parking brake is diffi cult to activate (which is most often seen after
replacement of a worn down tire). Always set the handle to the desired height before the brake is
adjusted as the positon may cause a little variation of the brake adjustment.

Brakes
Carbon Overland is equipped with two independent brakes acting on the rear wheels.

Always engage both parking brakes when you sit on the seat.
Under normal circumstances both brakes should be activated simultaneously.
Be aware that when only one brake is activated, Carbon Overland will turn to the same side as
the engaged brake.
Do not store with the parking brake activated as prolonged activation of the parking brake can
leave visible marks on the wheel and decrease the braking performance.
1. Pull the brake levers upwards to activate the brake. The lever moves back to the neutral position
when the brake lever is released.
2. The parking brake is activated by pressing the brake lever down until you hear a click sound.
Release the parking brake by pulling the brake lever back to the neutral position.

1. Adjust the brake with a 3 mm Allen wrench. Insert the Allen wrench into the adjustment screw
through the hole in the front of the brake unit.
2. The brake is tightened by turning the adjustment screw clockwise (viewed from the front) and
loosened by turning it counter-clockwise (viewed from the front).

All of our accessories are model speci c and of course tested with it to ensure your safety.
The accessories should always be installed according to the accessories manual product. Maximum
carrying capacity for bags are always speci ed in the manual.
Never use non-original accessories with the rollator, as this could pose a potential risk for your
safety.
Maintenance & cleaning
Carbon Overland should be regularly maintained by removing dust and dirt. Pay special attention to
keeping the brakes and wheel hub clean.
All surfaces can be cleaned with a textile cloth and clean water, if necessary with a little non-abrasive
detergent. Wipe with a dry cloth afterwards. Do not use paper towels as these can scratch the
surfaces.
It may be necessary to occasionally tighten one or more screws with a T25 or a H3 key.
Parts subject to wear such as wheels and brakes should be replaced in good time before they may
pose a safety risk. Any defective part must be replaced immediately.
Curb lifter
Even though Carbon Overland is one of the world’s lightest rollator and therefore is easy to lift, it is
equipped with a curb lifter that makes it easier to get over smaller obstacles like curbs and low steps.
This is particularly helpful if heavy objects are transported in a front-mounted basket or bag.
Be aware that the stability of Carbon Overland changes when it is reclined. Be cautious and try
to bypass rather than climb high obstacles.
1-2. Carefully press on the curb lifter with a foot. Pull slightly by the handles to lift the front wheels o
the ground.

Safety instructions for use
Attention: Always activate both parking brakes before sitting down and while seated. Do not use
the rollator to drive a person around and do not move the rollator while seated. The rollator is
not designed to carry a person while in motion.
For your own safety, you should not stand on the Carbon Overland, nor lean back, sideways or
forward while seated.
Do not tilt the rollator more than max 5 degrees to the side. This could cause risk of falling!
Do not attach bags or other items to the handles. This can cause the rollator to fall.
Always use the brakes when stopping or parking. The brakes can be pulled up a little to
decrease the speed while walking.
For good support and safe walking, the rollator must be held close to the body.
Walking upright and looking ahead improves balance. Particular care should be taken when
going down curbs.
Do not push the rollator far in front of you as this creates a risk of falling.
Note that the rolling speed of the rollator can be faster than your walking speed and create a
risk of falling.
Do not use the rollator on stairs.
Always make sure that your clothes are not trapped or stuck in the handles or in other parts of
the rollator.
While riding on public transport, sitting on the rollator is not safe.
We recommend that the seat is regularly impregnated. The seat can be cleaned with a wet cloth and,
if necessary, with a little stain remover.
Safety precautions before use
Never use the Carbon Overland if it is in any way defective. Contact your dealer for servicing. In
case of any serious injuries related to the rollator, please contact by ACRE and/or your National
Board of Health.
Attention: When unfolding the rollator, please check that the rollator is securely locked in place
with an audible click.
Before each use, check that the brakes are working properly.
The rollator must not be used by people weighing over 150kg/330 lbs. It is not suitable for
transporting heavy loads or people.
The rollator is not a toy.
Check that the height adjustment of the handles are correctly engaged and that the handle
bars are not set higher than the marked maximum setting.
Do not change/modify the rollator. Such action could negatively impact the safety of using the
rollator and expire the manufacturer’s liability.

Nicht mit aktivierten Feststellbremsen aufbewahren, da eine längere Aktivierung der
Feststellbremse sichtbare Markierungen am Rad hinterlassen und die Bremsleistung verringert
werden kann.
Diese Bremsen sind NICHT geeignet für ein permanentes „Anbremsen“ während der Nutzung.
1. Bremshebel nach oben ziehen, um die Fahrbremse zu aktivieren. Beim Loslassen des
Bremshebels bewegt er sich wieder in die Neutralstellung.
2. Drücken Sie beide Bremshebel nach unten bis diese einrasten, dann ist die Feststellbremse
aktiviert. Lösen Sie die Feststellbremse, indem Sie den Bremshebel wieder in die Neutralstellung
bringen. Unter normalen Umständen sollten beide Bremsen gleichzeitig aktiviert werden.

Zweckbestimmung
Der Carbon Overland ist für den Gebrauch drinnen und draußen entwickelt und geprüft. Er soll u.a.
Menschen mit Gleichgewichtsproblemen und Einschränkungen beim Gehen unterstützen. Er bietet
die Möglichkeit sich auf dem Sitznetz auszuruhen.

Der Carbon Overland kann mit Original-Zubehör wie Taschen und einer Rückenlehne noch nützlicher
gestaltet werden. Entdecken Sie die Möglichkeiten auf www.byacre.com. Das Zubehör ist speziell für
Carbon Overland konzipiert und wurde dafür getestet, um sicher zu stellen, dass es den geltenden
Normen und regulatorischen Anforderungen entspricht.
1. Bremse mit einem 3 mm Inbusschlüssel einstellen. Setzen Sie den Inbusschlüssel in die
Einstellschraube durch die Ö nung an der Vorderseite des Bremsblocks ein.
2. Die Bremse wird durch Drehen der Einstellschraube im Uhrzeigersinn (von vorne gesehen)
angezogen und durch Drehen der Einstellschraube gegen den Uhrzeigersinn (von vorne gesehen)
gelockert.
Bordsteinheber
Obwohl der Carbon Overland einer der leichtesten Rollatoren und leicht anzuheben ist, ist er mit
einer Ankipphilfe ausgestattet, die es Ihnen erleichtert, kleinere Hindernisse wie Bordsteinkannten
und niedrige Stufen zu überwinden. Dies ist besonders hilfreich, wenn schwere Gegenstände in der
vorderen Tasche oder Beutel transportiert werden.
Beachten Sie, dass sich die Stabilität des Carbon Overland ändert, wenn er zurückgelehnt wird.
