I. Turn the upper feed adjustment dial assembly to set the upper feed amount to maximum.

Turn the machine pulley slowly.

The minimum clearance between the upper feed dogand the presserfoot should beapproximately

1.0

mm when the forward-pulling

type upper feed dog

used, and

2.5

mm when the gathering type upper feed dog

used.

4. Loosen the screw

adjust the clearance by moving the upper feed
