Introduction
With Bluenote® products you enter a new dimension. Bluenote® is the new way of
listening to music. Bluenote® is a range of products of prestigious and sophisticated
Italian design featuring unique and innovative technical and aesthetic
characteristics. The DEMIDOFF is a single ended Multi Transformer solid state
stereo integrated amplifier.
As with all DEMIDOFF series, the is 60% handcrafted to maximize performance
in any single stage of the manufacturing process.
The DEMIDOFF uses the finest version of the Mirror-Amp™ pre-amp section.
It consist of a gain stage made with a proprietary special cascode differential
amplifier employing a mirror current. This configuration produces a super-linear signal, virtually eliminating distortion.
The power supply is managed by 5massive transformers specifically made for Bluenote. To preserve the sonic performance, the smallest
transformer is galvanically isolated from all the others and is dedicated to power two separate boards to control only the necessary functions
such as the motor of volume control, the checking relays, the power ON led light and the Vu-Meter fluorescent lights.
The Four large custom Golden transformers work as “pure” power energy suppliers they have two special capacitor filtering boards,
mechanically isolated, designed to filter the DC power coming into the Mirror-Amp™ preamplifier section.
All strategic power & audio sections are wired with the RSC™ bars (Rectangular Solid Copper bars). The RSC™ bar is a 6mm wide by 0,5mm
thick electrolytic 99,9999% OFC copper bar provides a super conductive rail with the lowest skin effect obtainable.
As with all Bluenote amplifier the DEMIDOFF does not have any active or passive filters or protective switches on the audio signal path. .
Instead, Bluenote designed specific passive thermal switches, that would shut off the amplifier power when the internal temperature reaches
80°Celsius (180°Fahrenheit). This offer adequate protection for dangerous operating conditions and enables the amplifier to produce its best
sonic performance.
The chassis is made of aluminium and stainless steel to minimize RFI and EMI interferences, thus having a completely non-magnetic
environment.
The DEMIDOFF amplifier is equipped with two high precision blue fluorescent Vu-Meters and remote control for volume, both powered with a
dedicated transformer to avoid any interference on the signal path that could affect the sound.
The DEMIDOFF has a wide range of inductive and resistance values so it can be matched with any kind of audio cable allowing users to employ
their favourite cable combination.
