INTRODUCTION
1.1BasicInformation
TheinstructionsinthismanualapplytoModelVRC‐3gas‐fired/fan‐assistedwarmairheaters.These
modelshaveanaxialfanforairdelivery.Theseheatersaredesignedforoverheadsuspensionandare
suitableforindoorinstallationonlyinstalledatanoperationambienttemperaturebetween‐15°Cand
45°C.WheninstalledasatypeC12/C32andwheretheheightabovefloorlevelisgreaterthan1,8metres
measuredtotheundersideoftheappliancetheymaybeusedasagarageairheater.Thisappliancemust
beinstalledinaccordancewiththerulesinforce.
Beforeinstallation,checkthatthelocaldistributionconditions,natureofgasandpressureand
adjustmentoftheappliancearecompatible.Apermanentelectricitysupplyof230volts,50Hz,single
phaseisrequired.
Heatersareapprovedfor: TypeC12‐horizontalventforbalanced‐flueheaters;
TypeC32‐verticalventforbalanced‐flueheaters;
TypeB22‐verticalvent;

Whentheexternalcontrolcallsforheat,anelectroniccontrolbeginstheignitionsequencetoprovideforasafe
start.About30secondsafterthecallforheat,thefanwillbegincirculatingwarmair.Theelectroniccontrolwill
supervisetheflameduringtheentireheatingcycletoensuresafeoperation.Whentherequiredroom
temperatureisreached,themainburnerwillshutdownleavingthefanrunningtocooldowntheheat
exchanger.Afterapproximately45seconds,thefandelayrelaywillturnoffthefan.

containing any silicone, aluminum oxide, etc., that adheres to spark ignition flame
sensing probes.

(2) There is a difference between the gas connection diameter and the diameter of the supply line. Always use the most adequate diameter of the supply line
to minimize the pressure drop through the gas pipes – if necessary, reduce the diameter of the supply line at the inlet of the unit.
