A. Introduction
Thank you for selecting the DPF 1000 Digital Picture Frame. The
mainfeaturesincludea10.4"Screen(4:3AspectRatio)LiquidCrys-
talDisplay (LCD)monitor,a 3 in1 card readerand a USBport.The
unitappliesthe lateststateof the artelectronicsand isdesignedfor
use with SD/MMC, MS memory cards and USB memory devices.
Theunit isconstructedto provide years ofreliable,trouble-freeser-
vice.Pleasereadtheentireinstructionmanualsuppliedwiththisprod-
uctpriortooperation.Thedocumentationwillassist you in obtaining
thebest equipmentperformance. All manuals shouldbe storedfor
lateruse.
B. Cautions and Warnings
1. Placement
Toprevent fireor electricshock, donot exposethis applianceto
rainor moisture. Donot place theset onan unstable cart,stand,
tripod,bracketortabletopreventitfromfalling.Keeptheunitaway
from strong magnets, heat sources, direct sunlight, and exces-
sivedust.
2. Installation
Ensure that the DPF1000 is used in accordance with the
instructionsandillustrationsprovidedinthismanual.
3. Object and Liquid
Donotpushobjectsofanykindintotheunitthroughopenings;do
not spill or spray liquid of any kind on or in the system (this may
resultina fireorelectric shock). Do notplaceanything heavy on
theunit.Toensureproperventilationandproperoperation, never
cover or block the slots and openings with a cloth or other
material.
4. Disassembly
Do not attempt to disassemble the cabinet. There is a risk of elec-
tric shock. Contact qualified service personnel if your system is in
need of repair.
5. Cleaning Unit
Whencleaning,makesurethesystemisunpluggedfromthepower
source. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. Use a
cloth lightly dampened with water for cleaning the exterior of the
system only.

The snap-on frame covers are easily removed by hand.Align the IR
sensor with the IR sensor hole on the frame cover to ensure that
the Remote Control will operate.

Press ‘MENU’ to display the Main Menu on the screen.
Main SETUP Menu Screen
1) Using the cursor buttons move the selection box to ‘SETTING and
press the ‘PLAY’button. The general setup page will be displayed
on the screen.

SLIDE SHOW TIME

b).SelectSLIDEWITHMP3usingtheDOWNbuttonand then press
the RIGHT button to enter the submenu. Select ON or OFF.The
ON setting will allow any MP3 file to be played while the slide
show is displayed. The factory setting is OFF. Press MODE to
confirm the setting. Press the LEFT button to return to the main
menu.
a).Select SLIDE SHOW TIME using the DOWN button and then
press the RIGHT button to enter the submenu. Select the slide
show display time for each photo (3, 5 or 8 seconds). The fac-
tory setting is five seconds. Press MODE to confirm the setting.
Press the LEFT button to return to the main menu.

c).Select PHOTO MODE using the DOWN button and then press
the RIGHT button to enter the submenu. Select NORMAL or
ZOOM. The ZOOM setting will enlarge the photo view when dis-
played. The factory setting is NORMAL. Press MODE to confirm
the setting. Press the LEFT button to return to the main menu.
PHOTO MODE
Note: When set to NORMAL,the entire photo will displayed on
the screen. If the photo format is not 4:3, then black bands will
appear on the screen. This is normal. Press the ZOOM button
(Remote Control) to enlarge the photo and use the LEFT and
RIGHT button to view the photo.
d).SelectMATTING using the DOWN button andthenpress RIGHT
buttontoenter thesubmenu.Thematting featuredisplaysaframe
around the displayed picture.

Select the matting mode desired or OFF. The factory setting is
OFF. Press MODE to confirm the setting. Press the LEFT but-
ton to return to the main menu.

FADE OPTION
e).Select the FADE OPTION using the DOWN button and then
press theRIGHT button to enter the submenu.Thefade option
controls the transition from one photo to another.

Press MODE to confirm the setting. Press the LEFT button to

f).SelectDEFAULTusing the DOWNbuttonandthen press RIGHT
button to enter the submenu. Select RESET. RESET will return
all of the features to the factory default settings. Press MODE to
confirm the setting. Press the LEFT button to return to the main
menu.

g).Select the CLOCK SETUP PAGE using the RIGHT button. Press
MODE to access the submenu.

h).SelectCLOCK SETTINGusing the DOWNbuttonandthenpress
the RIGHT button to enter the submenu. Select the hours, min-
utes or AM/PM display. Using the UP or DOWN buttons set the
hour to the correct time. Repeat for the minutes and AM/PM.
Press MODE to confirm the setting. Press the LEFT button to
return to the main menu.
ALARM SETTING
i).Select ALARMSETTINGusingthe DOWN button andthenpress
the RIGHT button to enter the submenu. Select the hours, min-
utes on the display. Using the UP or DOWN buttons set the hour
to the correct time. Repeat for the minutes andAM/PM. Press
MODE to confirm the setting. Press the LEFT button to return to
the main menu.
Note: If the frame is unplugged and power is removed for more than
10 minutes, the clock and the calendar will have to be reset.
