Thank you for choosing this DAB Radio. This product is
manufactured to the highest standards of performance and
safety.
Before use, please read this manual carefully. It gives
important instructions about safety, use and maintenance of
your radio.
Remove all packaging material. You may wish to keep
the packaging for future use or storage of your device.
Alternatively, dispose of accordingly.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
WARNING - To reduce the risk of re, electric shock, or
injury:
1. This radio is for domestic use only. Do not use outdoors
or on wet surfaces.
2. Do not handle the plug or radio with wet hands.
3. Do not immerse the main body in water.
4. This radio can be used by children aged from 8 years
and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning the use of the radio in a safe
way and understand the hazards involved.
5. Children must not play with the radio.
6. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by
children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
7. Keep the radio and its power cord out of reach of
children less than 8 years.
8. This product is not a toy.
9. Do not use the radio if any parts appear to be faulty,
missing or damaged.
10. Do not use the radio if it has been dropped or damaged
in any way.
11. Check to ensure that the electricity supply matches that
shown on the rating plate.
12. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a
qualified service agent in order to avoid a hazard.
13. Only use this radio for its intended domestic use. Audial
will not accept any liability if the radio is subject to
improper use, or failure to comply with these
instructions.
14. Keep the radio and its power cord away from heat or
sharp edges that could cause damage.

15. Do not disconnect the radio from the mains power
supply by pulling the power cord, switch it o and
remove the plug by hand.
16. Use of an extension cord with the radio is not
recommended.
17. This radio should not be operated by means of an
external timer or separate remote control system.
18. Keep the radio away from ammable materials.

Accessories
BEFORE FIRST USE
BATTERY INSTALLATION:
Follow the below steps to install 4 x AA batteries.
1. Unclip the battery cover in the direction indicated on the
cover.
2. Insert 4 x AA batteries in the sequence shown, observing
polarity. The correct direction each battery needs to be
installed is indicated inside the battery compartment.
3. Ret the battery cover.

CAUTION!
• Remove batteries if they are at or not being used for
a long period of time.
• Batteries contain chemical substances, so they
should be disposed of properly.
• To run the radio on battery power you will need
to switch o and disconnect the mains cable if
connected.
MAINS POWER:
To run the radio from mains power follow the below
instructions.
1. Connect the DC mains plug to the DC mains input socket
(9) on the rear of the unit.
2. Connect the plug to a mains outlet and switch on.
STANDBY & POWER OFF MODE:
1. Press and hold the POWER/MODE button (1) to put
the system into standby mode. The date and time are
displayed during standby.
2. When in standby mode press and hold the POWER/
MODE (1) again to turn the power o.
3. To resume normal operation press the POWER/MODE
(1).
HEADPHONE/EARPHONE OPERATION:
1. Connect a pair of earphones with a 3.5mm jack into the
headphone/earphone port (10) on the unit.
Note: Be sure to turn down the volume before connecting or
putting on the headphones.
GETTING STARTED
1. Extend the telescopic antenna.
2. Press the POWER/MODE button (1) to switch the unit on
from STANDBY mode.

VOLUME:
1. Rotate the VOLUME/SELECT control (8) clockwise to
increase the volume level.
2. Rotate the VOLUME/SELECT control (8) anticlockwise to
decrease the volume level.
DAB OPERATION
Press the POWER/MODE button (1) (if in FM mode) to
switch to DAB mode. The display will show ‘DAB Mode’.
1. To listen to the stored DAB stations use either PREV
(3) or NEXT (7) buttons to cycle through the stations.
When you reach the desired station press the VOLUME/
SELECT control (8) in to begin playback of that station.
DAB QUICK SCAN:
1. Press the SCAN button (6) to begin the scan. You will see
the scan slide chart to indicate the progress.
2. When the <Full Scan> option appears press the
VOLUME/SELECT control (8) inwards. You will see the
scan slide chart to indicate the progress.
3. Once the scan has nished, the radio will select the rst
alphanumeric station and begin playback.
DAB FULL SCAN:
1. Press and hold the MENU/INFO button (5).
2. When the <Full Scan> option appears press VOLUME/
SELECT control (8) inwards. You soon slide chart to
indicate the progress.
3. Once the scan has nished, the radio will select the rst
alphanumeric station and begin playback.
