INTRODUCTION
With 15 watts of all valve power from 2 x EL84’s the new MF-284 proves
that huge tone and versatility can be found in small packages.
The 15 watt 2 x EL84 power section means enough power for small gigs
and rehearsals yet you can still get the valves cooking when playing at
lower volumes at home and in the studio. Now with built in load and
headphone output for silent use, along with the on-board Line Level Di
this makes the MF-284 a perfect studio companion
Portable yet potent the MF-284 punches way above it’s weight. With easy
to dial in tones via simple controls the MF-284 does it all from classic
shimmering clean tones through biting classic rock crunch to full on hard
rock tones making this amp perfect for a wide range of players whatever
the genre.

INPUTS
The MoFo range features a 1/4” jack socket which are to be used to connect the output from your
guitar to the amplier. Always use a high quality guitar lead to ensure a reliable connection, the
integrity of your signal, and the minimising of noise.
GAIN CONTROL
The Gain control is used to vary the amount of signal passing through the pre amp. With the
control set low you will be able to get clean tones (used in conjunction with the Volume as
described later). Increasing the gain allowed more signal to pass through the preamp, causing the
amplier to overdrive and distort.
BASS, MIDDLE AND TREBLE
This is the qualisation part of the amplier, and these controls shape the overall response of the
amplier. Balancing these controls can provide you with a large range of tonse from which to
work. All the controls are interactive (moving onw will alter the way the others function) and you
should spend some time experimenting to nd out what’s available.
VOLUME
The master Volume controls the nal amount of signal that is fed to the power amp and therefore
the overall volume of the amplier. The Volume works in conjunction with the Gain controls as
follows. For clean tones the Volume needs to be full up, controlling the overall volume with the
Gain controls. For distortion tones at controllable levels, turn the Volume down and the Gain up.
Varying the Gain will control the amount of distortion and the Master will control the level of sound

LINE LEVEL DI
This XLR socket is used to connect the amplier to a low impedance, balanced output on a PA
system or recording mixer.
REAR PANEL SOCKETS
On ALL models there is a Mains inlte, this is a IEC connector which must have a Mains Lead
plugged into it, this must be of an approved type and it MUST be the 3 WIRE GROUNDED type.
Mains switch is also situated on the rear, this is used to turn the unit on and off between playing
sessions, (disconnect from the mains supply if you do not intend on using the unit for several
hours or days).
SPEAKER OUTLETS
Speaker Outputs are 1/4” jack connectors either 8 Ohms or 16 Ohms (note that it is imperative
you do not operate the unit without a speaker plugged in!)

INTRODUCTION:

CONTRIBUTIONS
La gamme MoFo dispose d’une prise jack 1/4” qui doit être utilisée pour connecter la sortie de
votre guitare à l’amplicateur. Utilisez toujours un câble de guitare de haute qualité pour garantir
une connexion able, l’intégrité de votre signal et la réduction du bruit.
PRENDRE LE CONTRÔLE
La commande Gain est utilisée pour faire varier la quantité de signal passant par le préampli.
Avec le réglage bas, vous pourrez obtenir des sons clairs (utilisés en conjonction avec le volume
comme décrit plus loin). L’augmentation du gain a permis à plus de signal de passer à travers le
préampli, provoquant une saturation et une distorsion de l’amplicateur.
GRAVES, MOYENS ET AIGUS
C’est la partie d’équalisation de l’amplicateur, et ces commandes façonnent la réponse globale
de l’amplicateur. L’équilibrage de ces commandes peut vous fournir une large gamme de
tons à partir de laquelle travailler. Toutes les commandes sont interactives (avancer modiera
le fonctionnement des autres) et vous devriez passer un peu de temps à expérimenter pour
découvrir ce qui est disponible.
LE VOLUME

quantité de distorsion et le maître contrôlera le niveau du son.

DI NIVEAU LIGNE
Cette prise XLR est utilisée pour connecter l’amplicateur à une sortie symétrique à faible
impédance sur un système de sonorisation ou un mélangeur d’enregistrement.
PRISES DU PANNEAU ARRIÈRE
Sur TOUS les modèles, il y a une entrée secteur, il s’agit d’un connecteur IEC auquel un câble
secteur doit être branché, celui-ci doit être d’un type approuvé et il DOIT être du type 3 FILS MISE
À LA TERRE.
L’interrupteur secteur est également situé à l’arrière, il est utilisé pour allumer et éteindre l’appareil
entre les sessions de jeu (débranchez l’alimentation secteur si vous n’avez pas l’intention d’utiliser
l’appareil pendant plusieurs heures ou jours).
SORTIES POUR HAUT-PARLEURS
Les sorties haut-parleurs sont des connecteurs jack 6,35 mm soit 8 Ohms soit 16 Ohms (notez qu’il
est impératif de ne pas faire fonctionner l’appareil sans haut-parleur branché!)

EINGÄNGE
Die MoFo-Reihe verfügt über eine 1/4-Zoll-Klinkenbuchse, über die Sie den Ausgang Ihrer Gitarre
mit dem Verstärker verbinden können. Verwenden Sie immer ein hochwertiges Gitarrenkabel, um

KONTROLLE ERLANGEN
Der Gain-Regler wird verwendet, um die Stärke des Signals zu variieren, das durch den

LEITUNGSPEGEL DI
Diese XLR-Buchse dient zum Anschluss des Verstärkers an einen niederohmigen, symmetrischen

RÜCKSEITIGE BUCHSEN
Bei ALLEN Modellen gibt es einen Netzeingang, dies ist ein IEC-Anschluss, an den ein Netzkabel
angeschlossen sein muss, das muss von einem zugelassenen Typ sein und es MUSS vom Typ
3-DRAHT-GEERDET sein.
Auf der Rückseite bendet sich auch ein Netzschalter, mit dem das Gerät zwischen den
Spielsitzungen ein- und ausgeschaltet wird (trennen Sie es vom Stromnetz, wenn Sie
beabsichtigen, das Gerät mehrere Stunden oder Tage nicht zu benutzen).
