Thank you for purchasing the All Pond Solutions PLED Aquarium
Light. You will find in this manual details of how to set up and install your
light correctly.
Important! To protect against injury, basic safety precautions should
be observed, including the following:
·Read and follow all safety advice and notices on this appliance before
using. Failure to do so may result in loss of fish life and/or damage to this
appliance.
·IMPORTANT – To avoid possible electric shock, care must be taken since
water is employed in the use of aquarium equipment. Disconnect from
the mains electricity supply when handling the unit, or when attempting
installation or maintenance of any kind. Do not attempt to modify this unit
in any way and only use the recommended parts for replacement.
·The unit should not be plugged in if there is water on parts of the
appliance.
·If the unit or any part of it falls into the water DO NOT put your hands into
the tank. First unplug the unit before removing it.
·All connections must be earthed.
·Do not use this unit if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is malfunctioning
or it is dropped or damaged in any manner
·Do not carry or pull the unit by its electrical cable.
·When switched on, do not look directly at the LED lights.
·Do not yank cord to pull plug from outlet. Grasp the plug and pull to
disconnect. Always unplug an appliance from an outlet when not in use.
·Do not install or store the appliance where it will be exposed to weather
or temperatures below freezing. FOR INDOOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY.
DO NOT IMMERSE IN WATER
·Make sure the appliance is mounted correctly and securely positioned on
the aquarium before operating the light.
·Care should be taken to arrange the cord so that it will not be tripped
over or pulled.

SAFETY
·The power cable must have a drop loop
to avoid any condensation build up
reaching the mains (see diagram 1) . If the
plug or unit does get wet, DO NOT
unplug the cord. Disconnect the fuse or
circuit breaker that supplies power to the
appliance. Then unplug and examine for
presence of water in receptacle.
·The power cord of this appliance cannot
be replaced; if the cord is damaged, the
appliance should be discarded. Never cut
the cord.
·Care should be taken to arrange the cord
so that it will not be tripped over or
pulled.
Please note – this appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and
above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or
lack of experience and knowledge, provided they are given supervision and
instruction concerning use of the appliance and understand the hazards
involved. Children must not play with the appliance. Any maintenance must
not be made by children without supervision.
This unit comes complete with a generous supply of 3 core cable, however
should any additional cable be required, the use of an approved waterproof
cable connector with a proper rating is essential. A cord rated for less
amperes or watts than the appliance rating may overheat.
Please Ensure:
·The power supply must be earthed and fused at 3amps.
·You regularly inspect the cable for damage and deterioration.
·Do not connect to any voltage other than that stated.
·You consult a qualified electrician if in doubt about any aspects of wiring.
SAFETY
ELECTRIC
Important – ensure the unit is disconnected from the mains electricity supply
whilst it is installed.
Before installing your light fixture, measure the width of your tank and
ensure it meets the min / max tank width in the specifications below.
Screw 2 metal rods into each of the brackets as tightly as possible.
For the smallest tank size suitable for your light fixture, you will need to
position the brackets on your tank rim with the screw on the inside of the
tank (image 1). For larger tanks, position the brackets with the screw on
the outside of the tank rim (image 2).
Feed the two metal rods into the two circular holes in the side of your
light fixture. Repeat with the other rods into the other side of the unit.
Extend the two brackets so the width between the two brackets
matches the width of your tank.
Carefully transfer the light fixture onto your tank – ensure the unit is
carried HORIZONTALLY to prevent the metal rods from sliding out of the
unit. Carry the unit with your hands between the rods and fingers under
the light on both sides (image 3) to ensure the full unit is secure. Be
careful to ensure the power cord does not come into contact with the
water.
Once the brackets are positioned on your tank rim, tighten the white
screws on the brackets to fix to your tank.
Ensure the light fixture is mounted correctly and securely positioned on
the aquarium before operating the appliance.
Connect transformer to your mains electricity and switch the red button
to the ON position.
INSTALLATION & USE
Important! Always unplug transformer prior to cleaning the light
fixture and remove from aquarium.
·For optimum performance from your LED, it is recommended that the
unit is cleaned on a weekly basis.
·Use both hands when holding the unit. Carefully use a damp cloth to
wipe all surfaces to remove any dust or mineral deposits that may build
up over time.
·Do not use detergents or harsh cleaners to clean the unit as these can
cause damage to the light.
·Make sure all surfaces are dry before re-connecting the transformer to
the power source.
Your PLED light is guaranteed against defects in material or workmanship
under normal aquarium usage and comes with 12 months warranty for all
electrical parts.
If you require support on how to use your unit, replacement parts or if your
PLED develops a fault during the warranty period, please contact the supplier
of your unit.
We reserve the right to repair or replace the unit at our discretion. Failure of
less than 5% of the total number of LEDS will not be considered a defect
under the terms of this warranty.
Please be aware that perishable parts including LED bulbs are not covered by
your warranty and a charge may be required for replacements of these.
This warranty does not apply to any unit that has been subjected to misuse,
neglect or tampering or customisation. No liability is assumed with
respect to loss or damage to livestock or personal property irrespective of the
cause thereof.
This does not affect your statutory rights.

Pour éviter toute blessure, il faut observer des précautions
élémentaires de sécurité, notamment celles qui suivent.
·Lire et respecter toutes les mesures de sécurité et tous les avis
importants apparaissant sur l'appareil avant de l'utiliser. Manquer à ces
précautions peut entraîner la perte de poissons ou des dommages à
l'appareil.
·IMPORTANT – pour éviter tout risque d'électrocution, faites
particulièrement attention puisque de l'eau est utilisée avec
l'équipement d'aquarium. Mettre d'abord hors circuit le fusible ou le
disjoncteur qui fournit l'électricité à l'appareil avant tout entretien. Ne pas
essayer de modifier l'appareil de quelque manière que ce soit et utilisez
uniquement les pièces recommandées pour le remplacement.
·N'utilisez pas l'appareil s'il est mouillé.
·Si un appareil ou une de ses pièces tombe dans l'eau, NE PAS essayer de
l'attraper. Débrancher préalablement l'appareil avant de le récupérer.
·Toutes les connexions doivent être mis à la terre.
·Ne pas faire fonctionner un appareil dont la fiche ou le cordon est
endommagé.
·Ne jamais porter ou tirer l'appareil par son cordon d'alimentation.
·Ne pas regarder directement à la lumière lorsqu'elle est allumée.
·Ne jamais tirer sur le cordon d'alimentation pour débrancher l'appareil,
mais plutôt prendre la fiche entre les doigts et tirer. Toujours débrancher
tout appareil quand il n'est pas utilisé.
·Ne pas installer ni ranger l'appareil où il sera exposé aux intempéries ou à
des températures sous le point de congélation. POUR USAGE
DOMESTIQUE ET À L'INTÉRIEUR SEULEMENT. NE PAS IMMERGER DANS
UN LIQUIDE.
·S'assurer que l'appareil est installé correctement et solidement sur
l'aquarium avant de le faire fonctionner.
·Des précautions doivent être prises afin d'éviter qu'on tire la rallonge ou
qu'on trébuche dessus.
SÉCURITÉ

·L'utilisateur doit former une « boucle
d'égouttement » avec le cordon
d'alimentation afin d'empêcher l'eau de
glisser le long du cordon et d'entrer en
contact avec la prise de courant. (voir
diagramme 1). Si la fiche ou la prise de
courant entre en contact avec de l'eau,
NE PAS débrancher l'appareil. Mettre
d'abord hors circuit le fusible ou le
disjoncteur qui fournit l'électricité à
l'appareil. Débrancher ensuite l'appareil
et vérifier qu'il n'y a pas d'eau dans la
prise.
·Ne pas faire fonctionner un appareil dont
la fiche ou le cordon est endommagé. Si
le cordon électrique est endommagé, il
faut jeter l'appareil. Ne jamais couper le
cordon alimentation
Note – cet appareil ne doit pas être utilisé par des personnes (y compris des
enfants) aux capacités physiques, sensorielles ou mentales réduites, ou
manquant d'expérience ou de connaissances, à moins qu'elles soient placées
sous la supervision d'une personne chargée de leur sécurité ou qu'elles en
aient reçu les directives nécessaires à l'utilisation de cet appareil. Toujours
surveiller étroitement les enfants afin de s'assurer qu'ils ne s'amusent pas
avec cet appareil.
Cet appareil est vendue avec longue câble à trois conducteurs, si une
rallonge électrique est nécessaire, vérifier qu'elle est imperméable et d'un
calibre suffisant. Un cordon électrique de moins d'ampères que l'appareil
peut surchauffer.
Veuillez-vous assurer que :
·L'alimentation électrique est mise à la terre et protégée par un fusible à 3
ampères.
·Vous inspectez régulièrement le câble pour dommages et détériorations.
·Ne connectez à aucune autre tension que celle indiquée.
·Vous consultez un électricien qualifié concernant des aspects du câblage.
SÉCURITÉ
ÉLECTRIQUE
Note – débrancher l'appareil pendant son installation.
Avant d'installer votre éclairage, mesurez la largeur de votre réservoir et
assurez-vous qu'il conforme la largeur de réservoir minimale/maximale
indiquée dans les spécifications ci-dessous.
Vissez fermement 2 tiges métalliques dans chacun des supports.
Pour la plus petite taille de réservoir vous devrez placer les supports sur
les parois intérieures du réservoir (image 1). Pour les grands réservoirs,
positionnez les supports sur les parois extérieures de l'aquarium (image
2).
Introduisez les deux tiges métalliques dans les deux trous circulaires sur
le côté de votre luminaire. Répétez avec les autres tiges dans l'autre
côté de l'appareil.
Étendez les deux supports afin que la largeur entre les deux supports
corresponde à la largeur du réservoir.
Transférez soigneusement l'appareil sur votre réservoir - assurez-vous
que l'appareil est transporté HORIZONTALEMENT pour éviter que les
tiges métalliques glissent hors de l'appareil. Mettez vos mains entre les
tiges et les doigts sous la lumière des deux côtés (image 3) afin de
s'assurer que l'unité est bien fixée. Veillez à ce que le cordon
d'alimentation n'entre pas en contact avec l'eau.
Une fois que les supports sont placés sur les parois du réservoir, serrez
les vis blanches.
Avant mise en route assurez-vous que la rampe d'éclairage est installée
correctement et solidement sur l'aquarium.
Brancher le transformateur à la source d'alimentation électrique et
appuyez le bouton rouge.
