1.3 Operating your DVR
There are various methods for ontrolling your DVR in luding using the front panel
ontrols, the infra-red remote, soft keyboard or the mouse.
The ontrols on the front panel in lude:
1. Power Button: Powers DVR on/off.
2. IR Receiver: Re eiver for IR remote.
3. USB Ports: Universal Serial Bus (USB) ports for additional devi es su h as USB
mouse and USB Hard Disk Drive (HDD).
4. Status Indicators: Status indi ators for different features on the DVR.
• Alar : Alarm indi ator turns red when a sensor alarm is dete ted.
• Ready: Ready indi ator turns blue when DVR is fun tioning properly.
• Status: Status indi ator turns blue when DVR is ontrolled by an IR remote.
Indi ator turns red when ontrolled by a keyboard and purple when IR remote and
keyboard are used at the same time.
• HDD: HDD indi ator blinks red when data is being read from or written to
HDD.
• Mode : Reserved
• TX/RX: TX/RX indi tor blinks blue when network onne tion is fun tioning
properly.
• Guard: Guard indi ator turns blue when the devi e is armed, off when the
devi e is unarmed. The arm/disarm state an be initiated by pressing and holding
on the ESC button for more than 3 se onds in Preview mode.
