Notes:
Press Navigation key for one time to active or lock remote control. If there is no any LED light
on the remote control, it means there is no power, please connect micro USB cable to charge
up the battery, an the left re LED will sparkle while charging. If you can’t use remote
control any more, please try to check co es:
Press” mute + Zoom Out” buttons together for 3 secon s, LED will quickly flash, then slowly
flash for three times within 15 secon s, this means successfully one.
Start Up Connecting your player
To use your player, you nee to connect it to your TV, your network, an a power source.
1. Plug the power a aptor to power up your player.
2. Connect your player to your TV by using HDMI or composite cable epen ing on your TV.
3. For stan ar stereo soun (2-channels, left/right), use the re an white connectors on the
composite cable. For surroun soun (5.1 au io), use either an HDMI or optical au io cable,
if available.
NOTE: If you use an HDMI cable, you on’t nee separate au io an vi eo cables.
Even if you use a high-resolution setup, au io/vi eo quality may be compromise base on
the spee of your broa ban Internet connection.
4. Connect your player to a broa ban network with sufficient ban wi th to receive live
streams (2.0 Mbps or greater). See “Connecting your player to your home network” for
etails.
5. To view vi eos through your player, you must connect your player to your home network
using either a wireless or wire connection. Your home network must have broa ban
Internet access, so that your player can access the Internet when it is connecte to your
home network. A minimum connection spee of 1.5Mbps is require . However, we
recommen using a connection that is 2.0Mbps or faster. If you’re using a wire connection,
follow these steps to connect your player to your network.
6. Connect one en of a CAT5 ethernet cable to the ethernet jack on your player. Connect the
other en of the ethernet cable to your Internet router.
NOTE: If you’re using a wireless connection, you on’t nee to connect an ethernet cable
Setting up your player
After you connect your player, as escribe in the previous chapter, you’re rea y to access
your player an complete Gui e Setup to set up your wireless network connection (if

applicable). After you plug your player into a power outlet, it is on all the time. There is no
power button to turn on an off. You simply access your player through your TV.
Turn on your TV, an if necessary, select the input on your TV that isplays the player. When
the player is properly connecte , you see the 8M logo followe by the Welcome screen.
When the Welcome screen appears, point your remote at your player, an press “Home” at
the bottom left corner of the screen.

Select Apps on the upper right corner to go to the apps list
Selecting your network type
If you’re setting up a wireless connection, make sure you have the following information
han y:
•Wireless network name (also known as the SSID)
•Security key or passwor (if your network is secure )
•Security metho (supporte types are: WEP, WPA, an WPA2)
Do one of the following epen ing on your network type:
•Wire : Click “ON” in Ethernet setting, it will connect to network automatically.
•Wireless (WiFi): Make sure your player is within range of your wireless router. Press
own on the remote to highlight wireless, an then press select Complete the rest of the
steps in this section.

•If your player etects your home network, press left or right on the remote to highlight
your home network, an then press select.

NOTE: The waves ra iating from the center of the icon in icate the strength of the
wireless network connection. A weak network connection may impact the quality of the
vi eo you receive with your player. If your player oesn’t etect your network an your
network broa casts its name (also known as the SSID), press left or right on the remote

character of the key or passphrase an then press select to enter it in the box at the top
of the screen. Repeat this process to enter the rest of the characters in the key or
passphrase. After you enter the security key or passphrase, press own to highlight
one, an then press select.

Adjusting Settings on Your Player
Settings enable you to access your network, isplay, soun , an screensaver settings. You
can also view information about your player an reset your player to the original factory
settings. If you install a new network router or change your Internet Service Provi er (ISP),
you nee to up ate your network settings.
Volume for soun effects
You can a just the volume level of the soun effects pro uce by your player, or you can turn
off the soun effects completely. If you enable Touch soun , you will hear the soun while
move remote control.
